Welcome to my blog about my life experiences and discussion points on striving to reach the ultimate goal of ‘Living the Aussie Dream’. The ‘Aussie Dream’ can be defined in different ways by individuals and each has their vision of what they would do to obtain their little slice of heaven.
According to Wikipedia, “The Australian Dream or Great Australian Dream is a belief that in Australia, home ownership can lead to a better life and is an expression of success and security.” I believe this is part of living the dream, although there are many other aspects, such as being happy, living life to the fullest, family…….etc.
Living in todays society it is easy to be swept up in materialistic possessions by trying to keep up with the Jones. With the cost of petrol, groceries and other expenses it is becoming harder for everyday individuals to make ends meet, reaching deadlines for these basic neccessities. I am sure everybody has heard the saying ‘Money doesn’t grow on trees’ and during these cautious economic times is almost wishing it did. How can the everyday common individual gain financial independence or make their million? Hopefully, I will one day discover the answer to that question. In the meantime I am busy saving and living frugally, while still trying to enjoy life and live it to the fullest.
